Kayak Powell Rainbow Bridge TourJourney to Rainbow Bridge - 4 Days / 3 Nights
Rainbow Bridge used to involve an adventurous trek that added to its allure. It still can - arrive by kayak!  Despite Rainbow Bridge being a world famous attraction, deciding the trip highlight won't be easy - the slot canyons nearby are the narrowest on the entire lake!  Water taxis are an additional charge of approximately $1200 total, not per person.

Price: $1,249 for up to 2 people ($625 each), each additional person $399

In the early 1900's a trip to Rainbow Bridge was a must see and involved a long horseback ride into one of the most remote areas in the USA. After World War II, a long float trip down the wild Colorado was the preferred method of reaching this magical place. Today you can visit Rainbow Bridge as a daytrip, with practically no effort involved. For those who ask, "Why would I want that?", this kayak journey is for you. When you arrive by kayak using nothing but your muscles, you will have a better appreciation for this must see attraction.

Approximately 25 miles of paddling.  The water taxi will drop you off at Driftwood Canyon.  On the paddle to Rainbow Bridge you will visit Cathedral Canyon, one of the most spectacular on the entire lake, and Cascade Canyon, which is one of the most narrow canyons on lake.  For a different perspective than the narrow slot canyons, we'll climb the Klondike trail for amazing views of the lake and Navajo Mountain.  Then it's on to the world famous Rainbow Bridge.  While most tours just buzz in and out, you'll get to spend plenty of time at the site.  From Rainbow Bridge you'll paddle to the beaches of Oak Bay.  On your final day you'll enjoy one last paddle into Secret Canyon then meet your water taxi for the ride back to the marina.  Please note, this part of the lake is known for very steep walls.  While it is visually spectacular, it means that there aren't many places to get out of the boats and the campsites often require a bit more work to establish.

We encourage participants to arrange a time to stop by our office in Page the day before departure to pickup drybags and review final details.  There are bathroom facilities at the landing.  A camp toilet will be provided during the tour.

Price per person includes guide, equipment, and meals.  Park entrance fee ($15 per vehicle) and fare for water taxi not included.  Fare depends on the group size, but is approximately $1200 total (not per person).
